There was once a time when Joe Manganiello called a million-dollar mansion home with Sofia Vergara. But it appears the actor is renting a more modest accommodation alongside his new girlfriend following his divorce from the Modern Family actress.

According to a report by The Sun, prior to filing for divorce in July, Joe and Sofia resided together in a lavish $28 million mansion situated within a gated community in Beverly Park.

Their former residence, a 17,000-square-foot custom Tuscan estate nestled on 1.84 acres of land, featured six bedrooms and 10 bathrooms. The couple first moved in during the 2020 pandemic, only a few years before they eventually called it quits amid reports Joe wanted kids, but Sofia didn’t.

At the time, they also owned a stunning seven-bedroom, 11-bathroom villa spanning 11,000 square feet in a prestigious Beverly Hills neighborhood. The Italian-style villa is presently listed for nearly $14 million.

Following their separation, Joe opted for a different living arrangement, as he’s reportedly transitioned from the palatial estates to a rental in a Los Angeles beach community. The Sun estimates his rental costs anywhere between $6,500 to $11,000 a month.

“Joe is often seen coming and going with his girlfriend Caitlin and dog Bubbles," an insider claimed to the publication.

There have been claim that Sofia is struggling to see her ex-husband move on so publicly, especially amid speculation he’s living with his girlfriend, given how many times they’ve been spotted by paparazzi at his new Los Angeles apartment.

Despite Sofia having a much higher net worth than Joe at $180 million thanks to her acting and business ventures (whereas Joe’s personal fortune is estimated to be around $40 million), the former couple’s divorce appeared relatively straightforward to the public thanks to their prenup and was only finalized in one seven months (despite a custody dispute about their dog).

Though the divorce may have not been expensive, at least for Sofia, she’s currently experiencing her own financial difficulties due to her living arrangement. The Griselda alum is currently being sued by a contractor she hired to do renovations on one of her California homes. But following a dispute, the contractor took her to court after she allegedly owed millions in unpaid bills, though Sofia has submitted her own filing to the court denying the construction company’s claims and suggesting it’s an attempt to expose her celebrity status.
